You touch on this a little later in the article when you discuss whether Nudging is manipulative but it’s worth restating that Nudges are not undermined by telling people they’re being Nudged.

For some reason, whenever people read about Nudging, they think it’s a secret manipulative move. In reality, it should be open information that (for example) a form works on an opt-out system rather than an opt-in. Informing the target audience about the Nudge doesn’t make it less effective.
