Hey Saptarshi, that’s a great question.
The actual pitch to VCs is “we de-risk your investment” which is huge for VC firms because they often are using funds from other people and have a duty to ensure the best possible investment of that money.
However, VC firms are still a little at odds with Startup Studios because of the exact reason you pointed out. They want to invest in the founders themselves, not through a third party that taps into the founders.
I believe that it is for this reason that VC firms haven’t adopted the Startup Studio model on their own. In theory, it would be a pretty easy task for VC firms to “set up shop” extending their services to include a Startup Studio… but very few VC firms have done this.
