I love this thought-experiment. When you think about college for people that pursue technical careers you focus on the skill-set, not the mindset. There is a reason lawyers and doctors are required by law to complete their studies if they are to practice. A comprehensive education is the only outcome we will accept. This is not the case with other professions.

My only qualm is, even if Zuckerberg had stayed in school and sat in what sounds like a riveting Principles of Economics class- would he have absorbed the lessons and put them into play when building Facebook. Would he have cared at all?

“He may have realized” … but chances are also likely that he may have done whatever he wanted.
