I think this is so critical and applaud you for shining light on it. Until you make something so good that people are willing to (and actually do) pay you for it- you’re working on a project. Most companies never find product market fit and as such never find their tribe of loyal paying customers. “Companies” like this can survive on VC money and dreams for a few months but eventually they learn that good intentions don’t pay the bills. I like that you point out how important working on a project can be and don’t diminish the impact a project can have on the world- you just simply point out that without paying customers that project is not a business.
