I understand where they are coming from because in all scenarios women deserve to be given as much respect as men are given granted that equal work is invested.

However, I would argue, as a female and as a business operator, that one cannot be separated from the other. I am both a woman and a business worker. I don’t want anyone to make me feel like I need to hide my gender (even though this isn’t what their intending to do, this is how it feels- like women are suddenly not supposed to let anyone know they’re female or for that matter like men are not supposed to talk about being male…)

I don’t know the right answer but “hide the identity you were born with” is probably not it. We should just be more open and honest with each other like let’s talk about our biases and get this stuff out in the open.
