I was at a travel pitch event last night and a company (called 360 Stories) pitched an idea very similar to this concept. Their market advantage was making advertising videos for tourist attractions using VR overlays of famous landmarks etc.

If you think about the usual stock photography advertising we see with these tourist advertisements you can immediately grasp how a 3–D video or better yet a VR tour of the attraction is a way better advertising tool.

I love that Snapchat has casually crushed it in this market, I’m a huge fan of their innovation.
