Instagram Is Worried About Me
Last night I (wasting my life) scrolling through Instagram and I clicked on the hashtag #inspo. For those of you who don’t know about hashtags (hey grandma and that one other person just discovering the internet!), they are ways to discover and explore groups of related photos, videos, and stories.
I believe Twitter started the hashtag trend — but I have yet to figure out how one successfully Twitters, so I don’t have much authority in that domain.
On Instagram, you can search hashtags like #fitness or #style to find collections of photos and videos posted by users that relate to a given tag.
Randomly, last night, I happened to click on the #inspo tag and instead of motivational quotes and pictures, I was surprised to be presented with a message from Instagram (see left screenshot above) asking if I needed help.
