One perspective on this is that all digital writing is impermanent, meaning that all content exclusively posted online can be deleted in an instant. With no warning, entire libraries can be demolished. There will be no fire, no flames, no trace of the literary accomplishment that once was. So, maybe studying literature as it was back “in the day” isn’t of particular value these days but digital mediums will never fully replace physical means.
