Thank you for bringing this interesting thought experiment to my attention. I too am of the opinion that we are not “in a simulation” but it was great to hear the thoughts of some brilliant people that contradict my belief.

I think you raise an important point here: listening to an opponent (someone’s point of view that directly conflicts with yours) is a smart thing to do.

Maybe you will be swayed to change your mind, and that is okay- growth is good. But maybe listening to their argument simply helps you understand their strategy, in which case you are then able to leverage their thinking to your advantage and make your case even stronger. Thanks again!
