Thanks for writing this Aspen. My sister is deaf and although she is the strongest person I know, it’s clear that she’s upset and frustrated by her lack of ability to hear and be heard. I think it is important for people without hearing challenges to orient themselves with the struggles of people who do. Not just to garner empathy, but to remember that making an effort is worth the effort. I’ll be thinking of this article tomorrow at our family Sunday dinner and many times after I am sure. Thank you!
