The Real Reason No One Knows About Startup Studios
We all know that, in this day and age, data is king. However, when asked why this is the case, many people can’t articulate the specifics of its importance.
I would like to postulate that data gives us a shared language with which to communicate about complex topics and this is the main benefit of collecting and analyzing data in the way that we do today.
Data helps us accurately predict future consumer movements and identify trends in real-time. The problem is that data needs to be recorded accurately, first and foremost and then it needs to be analyzed in order to be of any use.
I love looking at data from new and emerging industries to see what will prove to be the most important and how these statistics will shape the future of that industry. If we take Startup data as an example, we can easily see how the use of and misuse of data really affects the progression of innovation within an ecosystem.
Startup founders (especially ones looking to raise venture funding) know first hand how much data can make or break a company. When we evaluate startups, there are so many factors to consider that without data “metrics” as they are called, we would be completely lost when comparing one startup to another.
