This is true- to an extent. In addition to talent pool, the factors that seem to contribute the most to a thriving “innovation ecosystem” are part economical (city wellness/ safety, cost of living), part behavioral (a culture that encourages risk-taking), and part political (regulation on small businesses, ability to scale quickly).

I thoroughly enjoyed this article, the history of New York as an entrepreneurial tech hub was refreshing and interesting. I did some research on the “Top Tech Cities” and New York currently holds the #1 spot. I’m excited to watch innovation flourish in this great city!
