Tracking your daily food intake definitely has a positive significant impact on weight loss (if that’s your goal, or muscle gain if that’s your goal etc.) but as someone who has tried this method many times I can say that it gets tedious to do and eventually it stops getting done.

I think this is where apps are slightly more helpful than Google spreadsheets because apps have “push notifications” and can prompt you daily around meal time and ask if you had your normal “oats and banana” for breakfast (or whatever the breakfast of choice is).

Regardless, I think Google spreadsheets are a highly valuable and underutilized tool.
