Whenever things like this happen, I wonder how much of the result is due to a self-fulfilling prophecy and how much was destined to occur.

Meaning, in an alternate universe the article was never published and never caused a wave of panic which would have never pushed people to buy homes faster or hold off on selling longer.

We will never know for sure, since the article was published- but things like that are worth keeping in mind when making major life/ financial decisions.
