Where is your full medical record?
It is faster to find out your great grandmother’s second cousin’s name than it is to find a record of your medical history from birth to today. Fantastic resources, such as Ansestory.com and 23andMe, are available for consumers to trace their heritage back hundreds of years, but nothing of the sort exists for individuals to trace their own health information back even 50 years. It is such a frustrating and exhausting task that very few people are willing to take on. Even if one did decide to pursue the goal- where would they even start?
Problem: Medical data is private and protected, thus transferring it requires many steps. Through the exchange from one person to the next, information can get lost, corrupted, or stolen. This results in delays and costs for the consumer who is simply trying to review their own health record.
Solution: Remove the middle men and send the record from the doctors office(or hospital/ care facility) directly to the consumer.
How? Blockchain.
