“Why not both? I’ve come to realize that I can have all I want as I want it”

This is so important and no one ever says (or writes) it. Are we all supposed to pretend to be so humble and never admit that we believe we deserve the excitement of entrepreneurship, the stability of a career, and the adventure of an explorer? Who decided we have to choose one? I think if you are willing to work toward the level of balance you’re writing about (developing honest friendships, being successful, and really living) then you deserve to have it all. We all do.
