Without going into too much detail, the blockchain will be a very real concern for people who make money on sites like Instagram and Facebook because while they will never admit it, a huge portion of their follower base is likely bought and when blockchain begins taking over mainstream every person will have one method of verification (kind of like the fingerprint on your iPhone) so there will be no more fake accounts and thus this creates a huge problem for anyone buying a ton of fake followers now.

Just thought that was an interesting thought-piece to throw out there, but I loved this article- it really got me thinking about how fragile our “assets” are when they only exist inside of a screen.
