Yes for sure. So, the concept of theory of mind is the understanding that I have that what you’re thinking is not the same as what I’m thinking.

Children provide the most perfect example of this because they don’t develop theory of mind until around the age of 4. When kids are 3 and begin talking their stories hardly make sense and that’s because they assume that what is in your mind is the same information that is in their mind. They have no clue that you know things that they don’t or that they might have information that you don’t.

The reason I am fascinated by theory of mind is because humans are the only species that show any evidence of possessing it. Theory of mind is what humans use to be intentionally deceitful (to lie), to be intentionally thoughtful (to plan for the future), and to protect themselves against predators better than almost any other species because of our ability to predict/ anticipate the next move of our opponent.
